My class the Adventurers (5th & 6th grade) did a siva (dance), and learn't the dance from a pre-school teacher Ms. Leti. I really enjoyed dancing, and watching my friends perform.

It wasn't the first Samoan Art's Festival I had ever been to, but it was the best. We did this Art's festival by all ofthe classes doing a little dance to appreciate the Samoan culture and their language. For the language Mori Aiono introduced our performance in Samoan. Then Davalynn Betham did the Ava Ceremony, which is a ceremony where the chosen ceremony toupo (but Davalynn wasn't the toupo)does a little dance with a bowl a Samoan bowl called a Kava bowl.

We did this Samoan Art's Festival to remember our Samoan's, that made up all of these traditional dances, and to remember Samoa and it's beautiful Island. We wanted to this to show people ho we dance in Samoa, and for the children and others that don't know how to learn't how to dance in Samoan.

IT WAS REALLY FUN AND EXCITING!!!!!.

Hope you have enjoyed my experience and hopefully you will have an experience like that if you haven't.

Today we have to find out stuff about coral. Well the next morning Pippi and Tommy and Annika crawled out of their hut. But all of the other Kurrekurredutt children were already up. So then they all went down to the beach, and walked across this rope to get to a cave at the top of this big huge rock. Then a scream and a splash, it was Tommy he fell into the water as sharks chased after him Pippi jumped in and saved Tommy from them then beat them up. It wasn't a very exciting chapter but wierd.

The next chapter is chapter 9 one of my favorites called "Pippi talks Sense into Jim and Buck"
This is how it goes well One day when pippi, Annika, Tommy, and all of the other Kurrekurredutt children were sitting playing marbles with pearls, these two men named Jim and Buck came and screamed to Pippi "Do you know where we can get any pearls from on this beach?", then PIppi was just about to talk until one pearl the children were playing with fell off the rock where the sharks were. Pippi then said "No, you can't have any or the children willl have nothing to play marbles with". So they struggled and struggled to try to get one of a few marbles but never could. the night came and Jim and Buck the pearl banditts tryed climbing to the cave to get some pearls but never did. In the morning they stole Pippi's horse and said "If you don't give us some pearls we will kill your horse", then Pippi jumped down and threw her horse up into the cave and said "Just give up you will never get some pearls"> So they did and were never seen again.

See ya I have to do some other work but I will write something in a second or 10.

Hi, everyone I'm back. I also would like to tell you some news. Well after I do this post i am mean't to be looking up volcanoes even though I already am while I am writing this. I also found this web page that shows a volcanoe and you can play around with the volcano and stuff, it is kind of fun. Ifyou want to go on it, it is http://www.google.com then you go and write in "the eruption of a volcano" then go to the one that says "Strombolian Eruption Simulation". It is totally cool... kind of., I guess. Well we are also having an International Fair and the middle schoolers and the fith and sixth grade which is my class have to join with the middle schoolers and do a booth on a country. I picked Australia because I am from Australia. So anyway the thing I wrote last time was that I finished Pippi in the South Sseas but I forgot to bring my book here to tell you more so I will tell you more my nnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeexxxxxxxxxxxxxttttttt post.

See ya later, Kimberley

Chapter’s 6 to 7:

I am back, and now I have already told you but just In case you forgot I have finished Pippi in the South Seas.

Well this chapter is called “Pippi Goes On Board”. One beautiful morning the Hoptoad the boat her father sailed over to Villa Villekulla in. The town was on the pier, playing welcome songs. The whole town where crowding around Pippi and her father King Efraim I Longstocking. So she was jumping up and down impatiently, also she had talked to Annika and Tommy’s parents to see if they could go with Pippi to Kurrekurredutt Island. Until she got onto the ship. I know that I didn’t write that much on this chapter but there was not much going on in it.
This next chapter is going to be very fun and fascinating, it is called “ Pippi Goes Ashore”. What happens in this chapter is she meets many new people and umm…. Here it goes. “Kurrekurredutt Island straight ahead!” cried Pippi from the bridge on a cloudy and sunny morning. They all had been sailing for days and nights, for weeks and for months, Tommy and Annika had almost forgot what it was like to be at home again. When they got there all of the Kurrekurredutt Island children were crowding around the visitors and the most unparticular part was that Pippi started doing what all of the other Kurrekurredutt Islanders were doing which was crawling on the ground as they looked like they were looking for something. Pippi then joined in and said “Do you play ‘Hunting for Treasure’ down here to?’ but no one except two lovely children could understand her, named Momo and Moana. That is how Pippi got a lot of new friends.

Hope you enjoyed my short post.

Kimberley

Chapters 5 to 6: Pippi in the South Seas

Well I am have finished the book and I am now just going to tell you about the book.

Well the this chapter is called "Pippi Gets A Letter". The days went by. Tommy and Annika got very busy at school, with every day that went by, they felt more tired and had a hard time getting up in the morning. Their mother began to worry about their paleness of their lack of appetite. They soon caught the measles and had to stay in bed for a couple of weeks. Pippi never did tricks outside of their window since they were sick. Two weeks later they felt better Mr. Nillson (Pippi's monkey, don't forget) bought in a letter for Pippi. Pippi was so astonished that she fell of her chair. "A letter! for me? A leal retter-I mean, A real letter". Then Pippi was so loud that Tommy and Annika came runninng in asked "What is the matter Pippi?"., Pippi screamed "I GOT A LETTER!". They all calmed down, while Pippi said "Tommy you read the letter, I don't know how to read". And Tommy began.

My dear Pippilotta, (he read) when you get this letter you might as well come down to the harbor and start looking for the Hoptoaad. Because now I'm coming to get you to bring you here to Kurrekurredutt Island for a while. You ought at least see where you father has become such a powerful king. It's really nice here and I think you will would like it and feel at home. My faithful subjects are also looking forword very much to seeing the Princess Pippilotta of whom they have heard so much. So there is nothing further to be said in the matter. You are coming and this is my kingly and fatherly wish. A real big kiss and many fond regards from your old father,

King Efraim I Longstocking,
Ruler of Kurrekurredutt Island.

When Tommy had finished reading you could her a pin drop in the kitchen.

The next chapter is called Pippi goes on Board

Chapter's 3 to 4: Pippi in the South Seas

First I would like to say that today was fun because we got to dress up in clothes that represent us so I dressed up in black because that is my all time favorite color. I wore a balck skirt iver jeans, a black camisole, black shoes, and I painted my nails black. It was awesome, we got to learn a new dance and put up our life-size puctures we drew and traced. Now back to the book.

Hi, again I am now on chapter four in my fantastic getting old book Pippi in the South Seas. I will write about chapter's three to four.

Well chapter three is called Pippi Arranges a Question-And-Answer Bee. What happens is that Pippi is wondering how to spell Seasick. So one day Tommy and Annika came in to Pippi's house
before they went to school, when they got there Pippi asked them if they knew how to spell "Seasick". They had no idea how to spell it. So that day Pippi went to school with Tommy and Annika, but that day was the day when Tommy and Annika's old mean teacher was coming to school that day. So they got to school and the teacher put them in three line's, one was for children with four or more brothers and/or sisters, the other was for two to three brothers and/or sisters, the last one was for children with no brothers or sisters. Pippi was in the second and Tommy and Annika were in the second.

The teacher then called up Pippi, so Pippi went up to the teacher and the teacher asked her to come up sand get weighed, what happens when children are under wieght is that every lunch time the children had to go eat lunch with their teacher it was always a big bowl of soup, it wouldn't be so bad if it didn't have lotes of barley in the soup it was always so slippery in their mouth. So anyway Pippi was lucky she weighed five pounds to much for soup.

If they got the questions and answer bee wrong then they would have to walk through a lot of dirty yucky underwear. So Pippi said to herself "All I have to get through is not going through the underwear, so I can breathe more freely". Miss. Rosenblom was the teacher's name, she was looking for a difficult word in the dictionary for Pippi to spell. "Now" she said finally, "will you tell me how to spell 'seasick'?", "I'll be glad to" said Pippi. "S-e-e-s-i-k." Miss. Rosenblom smiled-a sour smile. "Is that so?" said Miss. Rosenblom, "the dictionary spells it differently". Pippi then said "I am glad you wanted to know how I spell it," said Pippi. "S-e-e-s-i-k is the way I have always spelt it and it has worked just fine".

"Make a note of that" said Miss. Rosenblom to the assistants. "When did King Karl II die?" asked Miss. Rosenblom. Pippi argued "Oh, he is dead to, oh dear". So then Miss. Rosenblom got fed up with Pippi and sent her to the corner wgere the children who answered her questions wrong wouldn't get any candy or money for their family. Then Pippi saw all of the kids in the corner crying because they didn't get anything.

So Pippi got a great idea, it was to arrange her own Question-And-Answer Bee. So she seperated the children in to two lines one was "If you knew King Karl the II died?" then they go in one line the other is if you didn't know he died. All of them went in the first line because they all learn't at school that he died. So Pippi said "No, that is not equal, lets try it in a different way". So then she got two lines and it went on forever so the kids that lost still got candy and a gold coin because Pipi's father was rich but Pippi always wanted to look goofy. "So all of the children thanked Pippi. Pippi then said "You don't need to thank me just remember that I saved you from the dirty woolen underdrawers(underwear).

I hope you have enjoyed my post.

Welcome back to Music Girl is Back.

I am just about to read Chapter three on my fantastic new book as you all know it is Pippi in the South Seas. Here is a summary of chapter two and three

so far from my last post, Pippi cheers up Aunt Laura by telling her stories that will hop her up and cheer her on, well that is about it that was going on in chapter two, not much huh....

The next Chapter is called Pippi finds a Spink, what happens is Annika and Tommy come walking in to Pippi's front yard screaming "Pippi where are you?", but Pippi dosen't answer. So they run into the kitchen and see Pippi sitting on the kitchen table with Mr. Nilsson(her monkey) sitting on her shoulder. Tommy and Anikka asked together "What are you doing Pipppi?", She said to them "Oh, I am just thinking about what Spink means", then Tommy said "Then why don't we go look for spink". So then they went and looked for spink, the first place she stopped at was the candy shop, Pippi asked the lady for a bag of spink the lady then said "we don't have any spink".

So then Pippi goes to a hardware store, and asked if he had a spink. So the hardware guy said "umm.... yes we do" and he handed her a rake, so Pippi said "I am not dumb you know, I know this is a rake".

So then she went to Doctor. Pippi rang the bell. A nurse opened the door. "I would like to see a doctor", said Pippi. "It is a very serious case, a terrible disease". "This way please" said the nurse. Pippi ran into the docters room, ran up to the doctor, closed her eyes and pocked her tongue out. The doctor said "What is the matter with you?". Pippi opened her clear blue eyes and said " I am afraid I have spink", "because I itch all over. and when I sleep my eyes close. Sometimes I have the hicupps and on Sunday I didn't feel very well after eating a bowl of shoe polish and milk, I must have spink, tell me is it contagious". The doctor stared at her rosy cheeks and said " You are healthier than most. I am sure your not suffering from spink". Pippi grabed the doctor by the arm annd said "There is a disease by that name , isn't there?". "No" said the doctor "if there was I don't think that it would have an effect on you". Pippi was sad she said "Good-bye" to the doctor, and so did Annika. So then Pippi said to Annika and Tommy

"Let's ride home, there is no spink in this town". So then when they got home, "don't step on the beetle!" Pippi cried, the three of them sat down and stared at the beetle and Annika said "it isn't that a Cockchafer". Then Pippi said " I know what it is it is a spink". So that is the third chapter that I wrote a long summary on.

Hi, all you people out there, I am Kimberley from the sixth grade, you might know me as "Music Girl" from my blog "The Girl who Loves Music", on www.kimberleyayre.blogspot.com. You can call me Music Girl or Kimberley.

PIPPI IN THE SOUTH SEAS (Chapter One)

Well anyway this picture is a picture of the book I am reading it is called Pippi in the South Seas. It is an intersting book, so far the book is about a girl named Pippi Longstocking has her own house and is the strongest girl in the world. So the story goes like this, "One beautiful summer a man drove down the lane of a small town, he drove and drove until he saw three signs, one said "To The Folklore Museum" and it had an arrow under it, another said " To The Grave Mound" with another arrow under it it. There was still a third sign , saying, in rather crooked letters "Villa Villekulla". That sign was put there because people kept on asking where Villa Villekulla was. So anyway the man said "wow these signs just keep n getting better and better". Then he thought maybe this sign means Villa Villekulla is for sale"(but of course we know it wasen't) , so he drove down the lane and ran into the house it had a beautiful garden, and there stood 3 lovely children, a little boy with neatly combed hair, a girl with a blue checkered dress and blonde curly hair, and a girl with lots of freckles and a red headed girl with pigtails sticking out of each side of her head. he then asked if "Villa Villekulla was for sale" and the girl with red hair said "oh shes is busy". But it was actually Pippi who was the owner so yeah the old man was all like I am going to vut down that tree and build a new house on this land. So yeah that is what happened on the first chapter.

ALSO VILLA VILLEKULA WAS NOT FOR SALE!

From Kimberley or Music Girl.
